MAINTENANCE

PM SERVICES INCLUDE:

  • REVIEW OF MACHINE CONTROL SYSTEM PERFORMANCE

  • INSPECTION OF MOTORS

  • REVIEW OF MECHANICAL CONDITION

  • REVIEW AND EVALUATION OF COMPONENT SIZING

  • SUGGEST ANY IMPROVEMENTS OR UPGRADES FOR THE SYSTEM WHICH SHOULD BE CONSIDERED

  • CALBRATION AND FINE-TUNING OF CONTROL SYSTEM

  • CREATE A MAINTENANCE LOG BOOK

  • DEVELOP A SPARE PARTS LIST

  • PROVIDE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATOR TRAINING

ASC's PM SERVICES ARE IMPLEMENTED WITHIN YOUR FACILITY UNDER NORMAL OPERATING CONDITIONS.

  • Identify problem areas that may need immediate attention or future attention.

  • Correct problems or make arrangements for problems to be corrected in the future.

  • Provide routine motor maintenance: inspect brushes, bearing, commutator, and operating temperature.

  • Adjust control regulators for best performance.

  • Calibrate feedback transducers, mechanically and electrically.

  • Inspect for incorrect sizing or of components such as motors, power units, gears, and sheaves, as well as fuses, resistors and potentiometers.  Incorrect component sizing can cause costly inefficiencies and can limit production speeds and process flexibility.

  • Check condition of power transmission components.  These components include couplings, speed reducers, belts, chains, and bearings.

  • Check machine components that may be causing drive system problems.  Roll imbalance, roll misalignment, and excessive machine vibration are examples of machine problems that can limit the performance of the drive system and limit the process efficiency.

  • Record system parameter (speed, tension, amperes, volts, etc).  Include oscilloscope traces and chart recordings.

  • Indicate and record settings of all adjustments.

  • Instruct operating personnel of process limitation caused by the drive control system.

  • Train maintenance and engineering personnel about drive systems, drive system adjustments, and proper troubleshooting techniques.

  • Recommend that spares are purchased for components that have been predicted to fail.
